Java non validating dom parser

Here is a benchmark did using JMH that compares the performance of the most popular json libraries in java:

This question should have been closed for being too broad and the author making no effort to solve it themselves, showing no homework.

In computing, Xerces is Apache's collection of software libraries for parsing, validating, serializing and manipulating XML.

The library implements a number of standard APIs for XML parsing, including DOM, SAX and SAX2.

It's a proof-of-concept with awkward API, inefficient implementation.

I think it is better to consider libraries on their own merits, instead of trying to deduce quality out of its authors visibility -- Doug has achieved many things, but that does not really change qualities of the particular lib.
